Do I need an account or email to generate and download an invoice?
No. You can create and download full, professional PDF invoices directly in your browser without signing up, verifying an email address, or adding a credit card. Your draft data is stored privately in your browser local storage and is never uploaded to our servers unless you choose to create an account.
What does Watermark-free PDF mean on the free plan?
Watermark-free PDF means no obtrusive or blocking watermark across your invoice. Free tier PDF documents include a clean, standard one-line footer credit ("Created with Invoice Number Generator") at the bottom of the page. Upgrading to a paid Starter plan ($9/mo) removes the footer credit and enables custom logo uploads and branding.
Can I save my invoice to edit or duplicate later?
Yes. For anonymous visitors, your current draft and sequential invoice number are saved automatically in your web browser local storage so you can resume after refreshing when browser storage is available. For cloud-saved history, a reusable client directory, item catalogs, and 30-second one-click invoice duplication, you can subscribe to our Starter tier ($9/month).
How are taxes, discounts, and line totals calculated?
Our engine strictly follows standard commercial accounting rules: line totals equal quantity multiplied by unit price with half-up rounding at minor currency unit boundaries. Subtotals sum all lines, discounts are applied before tax calculation, and tax is computed on the discounted subtotal. You can also toggle per-line tax rates for mixed tax jurisdictions.
Is my financial and client data secure?
When you use the free invoice generator without logging in, 100% of the calculations, rendering, and PDF generation take place locally inside your browser via JavaScript. None of your business names, client emails, tax IDs, or invoice line items are sent to our servers or stored in remote databases.
Which currencies and payment terms are supported?
We support ISO 4217 currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, and CHF, with exact fractional digit precision. Payment terms include Due on Receipt, Net 7, Net 15, Net 30, Net 45, Net 60, and custom calendar dates.
How can I contact support or request a refund?
Email support@invoicenumbergenerator.com for help. Subscription purchases qualify for a full refund requested within 7 calendar days of billing, as described in our Refund Policy. Signed-in users can also open a Support Ticket from Settings.
